Over 95 per cent of Ontario's agricultural land is in the Great Lakes basin. Since 2007, Ontario has committed more than $125 million to over 1,000 Great Lakes projects. WebThe Great Lakes are Ontario’s primary source of drinking water. This annex includes commitments to further assess and address threats to sources of drinking water in connection with efforts under Ontario’s Clean Water Act, 2006 as well as through existing federal policies and programs.
