WebJan 30, 2016 · The minimal scale of the Alfvénic turbulence transverse to the external magnetic field in the topside auroral ionosphere is investigated using electric field observations of the FAST spacecraft (the resolution 512 s –1 ). WebSmall-scale length density cavities have been observed in the auroral zone by Viking and Freja spacecrafts [ 35, 36 ]. For the auroral region, we observed the density fluctuations of ∼0.12 n0, consistent with the FAST observation reported by Chaston et al. [ 14, 15 ].
